小川原湖
　小川原湖は、入江の一部が海面低下と湾口の砂丘の発達により形成されたといわれる海跡湖で、面積は62.16km2、湖岸延長約67km、平均水深約11ｍという青森県最大の広さをもつ湖である。更に、淡水と海水が混合する汽水湖の為、しじみ・しらうお・わかさぎなど淡水魚介類の水揚げが日本一を誇る湖である。

LAKE OGAWARA
Lake Ogawara was formed by both an erosion and a concentration of the sand from the action of the river and waves in the mouth of Takase River. Lake Ogawarais famous for its plethora of both seawater fish and fresh water fish, as well as marine life whitch live in both salt and fresh water such as ; shijimi clam ; whitebait ; pond smelt ; and shrimp. Annually it contributes the largest amount of fresh-water fish products produced in Japan.
